Temperature Variations and colour change: The Season Carpet

By Jeanne Goutelle:

Hello spring, goodbye winter! That could be the tittle of this piece. That could've been our motto for our last winter days in Europe. But unfortunately, March is not always about nice weather and warmer climates. The hope of longer days, a beautiful light and higher temperatures often pushes us back and reminds us that winter is not so far away... March was the month of transition. This textile piece is an excellent design product to reflect this state. The carpet of designer Siren Elise Wilhelmsen reacts to warm and cold temperatures, changing its look to the heat variations.

The carpets are made of interwoven stripes, which give its geometric pattern. The woollen felt is coated with thermoactive ink to allow the surface to change its colours. Different colour variations are available.
